Tucker & Tunstalls Ltd. is a family-run roofing business, part of Sewell GHL (Group Holdings Limited).
We provide a wide range of roofing services, including: mastic asphalting, built-up felt roofing systems, single ply roofing, liquid plastic systems, pitched roofing and cladding.
Founded as Tunstalls Seyssel & Limmer Rock Asphalte in 1914, our business initially provided asphalting mainly to railway companies’ platforms and stations in the north of England. The business later merged with Frank Tucker & Co. Ltd. in 1989, forming the present company, Tucker and Tunstalls Ltd.

Built-up roofing
Built-up roofing is the most widely specified and used form of flat roof waterproofing.
It is available in many different varieties, with built up high performance membrane roofing being the most versatile waterproofing solution. We are happy to recommend the materials we consider most appropriate for the project, and assist in the preparation of specifications.

Liquid systems
Since the 1960s, liquid plastic coatings have been available as a cold applied waterproofing system.
In addition to the use of liquid plastics for built-up roofing, we offer inverted systems and green roof finishes.
We also specialise in coatings for walls, balconies, and anti-microbial coatings for hygienic environments.

Mastic asphalt
Mastic asphalt is one of the best high performance roofing systems available due to its durability and versatility.
We also offer mastic asphalt flooring and paving for housing, industrial and commercial work.
Specifications are also available for overlaying existing asphalt membranes.

Single ply system
Single ply roofing is a system which consists of one layer of roof waterproofing membrane and has been successfully used in the UK for over 40 years as a modern lightweight waterproofing solution with quick and clean installation.
The systems available are predominantly 'cold fixed', either with mechanical fasteners or adhesives. These systems and applications are, in effect, 'flame free'.

Pitched roofing
We carry out both slating and tiling for new build and refurbishment projects. Our current client base includes those managing public buildings and residential housing.
